8 Key Tips to Success In Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is by far the most popular and simplest way of making money online. With a little study and determination, you can earn affiliate commissions, regardless of your experience. 1. Choose a niche that you want to promote. Get specific... focus on ONE niche. Yes you can have multiple niches, just bare in mind that you should only try and do one at a time. Too many irons in the fire will cause confusion and frustration. Make your affiliate marketing targeted on a single market, and promote products that appeal to that market.


2. Build a web site focused on your niche, and have high quality and unique content that is rich with your key words and phrases.


3. Research the different affiliate programs that are available for your niche. Also keep in mind that you will need some marketing tools to promote the product(s) that you select. Check at the bottom of the products sales page for a link to the "affiliate" program. This link will allow you access to all the tools that the merchant has created for this product. The affiliate program or products must also be of high quality and must be well-priced. This will make is easy for you to sell them products or programs.


4. Learn to drive traffic to your website. Take your time with this step... This is the LIFE BLOOD of your website!! You need traffic in order to promote/sell your affiliate product. Articles can be written and submitted, online press releases related to your niche are a great way to drive traffic and be sure to submit your website to search engines. Networking is another way you can cross merchandise your product. Sharing links with other high ranking sites can be a great way to drive traffic. Be sure to do something in return and build rapport with these other websites. Also remember to have a budget for promoting your website.


5. Build a list of prospective customers and offer them free e-courses, articles or e-books. Your money will come from your list!! This is the KEY. When you have a list, you can keep in regular contact with your prospects and recommend your affiliate products to them. Again... remember to offer quality FREE content that rivals the content or products that you offer your list for purchase.


6. Work hard consistently in promoting your website and have patience. Promote your website(s) daily. Get a routine down and spend the time to complete that daily routine. Even if its only spending 30 minutes a day... that time spent will pay off BIG TIME in the future.


7. Write reviews of the affiliate products you promote and even the ones you don't. This will keep your customers "in the loop" and well informed about the many products that are out in the niche you are promoting. Utilize your website and/or your blog to promote the products that you write reviews on. Become the trusted source of information about the niche you are in. It is important that you make sure that your reviews are honest. Remember Quality over Quantity... ALWAYS!!


8. Give away freebies that have your affiliate links in them. These are known as JV giveaways. Your best bet is to Google "JV Giveaways" and check out the many opportunities you have to give away your free gift to a targeted audience. This can involve giving away short reports, e-books or an e-course with your affiliate links in them. This will assist you in building you list and customer base.
